i started a high fiber ,is the mechanism for weight loss exercise in this diet?

i am constantly running to the bathroom after i started my high fiber diet,so began to think that the increased exercise was a big cause for weight loss in this diet,is this right?

yeah,it keeps your system "regular",your poop should come out easy and in an "s" shape.

I know that the majority of weight-loss involves diet, but as far as the gym… what’s the best way to shed the pounds?

I’ve heard everything from 100% cardio to 100% core.

Cardio in the morning, empty stomach. If you can, go for a cup of coffee, black.
If you prefer doing weights, you can do your regular weight training regimen, and do 15 minutes of the cardio.

How true are advertisements about weight loss without exercise?

I’m an 18 year old male weighing in at 188 lbs. I am 6′0, and most of my fat is in my upper body. I haven’t been able to find a pure diet or workout, so I am here begging for help. I am in my summer break, and I want to look good for college next year. I need to find a consistent diet plan and exercise plan. I am extremely self-conscious and have self image problems. If I feel fat, I won’t eat as much that day. For a time, I would only eat two fig newtons for a whole day and that would be it. Please just help me find a diet which will make me lose weight. Thank you.

This will sound weird but the reason you are not losing weight is because you are not eating

If you skip meals your body will go into stavation mode

once your body does this it will hang onto every cal you eat and slow your system down so you will not lose weight.

And if for some reason you do happen to lose some weight (some people do if their cal count is extreamly low) as soon as you start to eat again you will gain the weight back plus more

To speed up your system you need to eat every two hours while awake. But stop eating two hours before bed. Eat high fiber and the lower cal foods.

If you eat every two hours your body knows it is going to be fed again and will not hold on to every cal you take in.

if you are eating every two hours do not eat meals eat small things eat snacks if you are going to eat a meal you need to make the snacks smalller

try to eat
beans not the yellow or green
legumes
lintels
whole grains
lots of fiber
brown rice
wild rice

try to stay away from

white sugar
white flour
white rice
processed foods
these foods get into your system very fast
this raises your blood sugar levels
your body responds by raising your insulin
higher insulin levels makes you hungery

I know it is imposible to not eat these foods so if you do eat them eat high fiber with them this will change the food from one that gets into your system fast to one that gets into your system slower.

even if the fiber you chose is metamucil you need two tablespoons at a time for it to be effective.

as for the exercises
to lose weight the fastest all you need to do is walk
the more you walk the faster it will come off
when you walk your body loses more cal/min the longer you are at it
so if you walk for 2 hours your body will lose more cals/min the 2nd half hour then the first and so on.

you will also need to build up your muscles
if you lift weights you will bulk up your muscles
but if you do things that require you to lift but use a full range of motion you will be stronger.

Try to fit in more movement in your life
if you take the bus get off a few blocks ahead and walk
if you drive park farer away.

try to walk more places

Drinking green tea
with help burn fat and speed up your system
if you are the type of person who prefers cold drinks you can make a cold iced tea from it.

or you could take green tea supplements they are not as good as the real stuff but they will help

eat pineapple with meals have a slice of fresh or drink 3 oz with meals that has protien in them

pineapple has they ablity to break down protein you eat
the only other thing that does this is the acid in your stomach

3 weeks ago i started to exercise properly and everyday. Ive been going to the toilet and my sh*t has runny for the past week. I don’t have diarrhea.

Also more often then before.

Why is this?

lol fo real? well that usually happens if your diet is based mainly on fruit and veg lol now if thats the case then maybe you need to alter the intake on this kind of food lol also the fact that you are excersing quite a bit may also be why your body is reacting in such a way…dont worry im sure its perfectly normal for a while lol…goodluck :)

i am looking for a book that provides workout plans and log where i can keep track for weight loss and healthy living. is there one that has been really successful for you?

There’s no books that can beat your own common sense approach to exercise.
Modify your eating style to suit your "desired new you".
Eat loads of fresh veggie/ no bread/ no red meat or processed food.
Don’t cheat~!
Make a Solid but firm commitment to a daily workout routine. Just plain walking works the best. Start out walking what is your max distance. STAY THE COURSE AND, push yourself each and every day..
I lost 50 lbs by doing this since the first of Jan. I am at my new comfortable level of 148lbs. I walk 5 to 10 miles every day~many days, I will also throw in a bike ride on top of that. When I can, I climb mountains in NH for additional workout. The main thing is to push push yourself to a better you.

What will help more with weight loss: exercise or eating right?

I know both are necessary for a healthy body, but I’m wondering which is more vital for losing weight. I will continue to do both; I’m just wondering which one will help you lose the most weight.

Depending on what type of exercise you do, you could either gain or lose weight. This is because some exercise will cause you to build muscle. And muscle weighs more than fat.

And, basically, you know the other part. Even though diet programs like Jenny Craig, Lite ‘n’ Easy, and Tony Ferguson (I live in Australia) give you ready made meals, or meal replacements, they all state that regular exercise should be used along with the diet.

So, I think from that you can conclude that exercise will help you to lose more weight, when used the right way.
