what will make you lose weight fast, diet and exercise or weight loss using electric currents?

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

my sister in law is going to spend 100 euros on eletric current weight loss with 20 sessions.. suppose to make you lose 3-4 inches where you want it… but I don’t think it would really work…. which do you think will work faster in two months, 20 sessions of eletric currents, or two months of strict diet and exercise?

Electrocuting yourself should make you lose weight faster. Dead people always lose weight faster.

Seriously, though, the whole electroshock thing is a total scam. There’s really no such thing as "targeted weight loss" unless you undergo surgery, which any physician will tell you is again not a substitute for regular exercise and a healthy diet. Forget "quick".. get-rich-quick and get-thin-quick schemes always fall through and the one who tries them winds up paying more than they ever dreamed.

What is the best exercise for weight loss?

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

I have a one yr old baby and want to lose about 25 lbs. What is the best exercise for weight loss? I have the P90X but can’t get around to trying it. Also, I want to buy a treadmill since I don’t exactly have all the time in the world to go to a gym. I work full time and have a 1 1/2 hour commute each way.
Any ideas?

Hello Love Is Sweet

1. Running – There’s no doubt that running is one of the top cardio workouts there is. It’s an excellent activity for anybody who wishes to shed some fat. If you run a solid workout 3 times a week, you’re bound to see an impressive improvement in how you look and feel.

2. Cut out sugary drinks – One of the biggest sources of empty calories are sugary sodas and drinks. You have no idea how many calories the average person consumes without any real benefit. Cut out sodas and sugar rich sodas and you will have an easier time in losing fat.

3. Get rid of sugary cereals – A lot of us start the day with a bowl of cereals. The question is that the cereals we eat are often jam-packed of sugar and other fattening stuff. If you start your day with a bad food, it’s going to reflect on your entire day. Consume a lean breakfast.

4. Eat a breakfast rich in protein and fiber – You want breakfast to set the tone for the entire day. The way to do that is to include protein and fiber during your breakfast. The protein and fiber will help you control your hunger all day long and keep your metabolism running high.

5. Take an evening walk – You want to discover ways to be more active and burn more calories. Taking a walk each evening is the easiest way to do this. It doesn’t have to be long. Even 30 minutes will work wonders and help you flatten your stomach and burn abs fat.

6. Strength workouts are an excellent way to boost your metabolism and to lose belly fat. You don’t have to work solely your abs. Even if you work your legs, you’re still burning off fat from your whole body. 3 workouts each week ought to be sufficient to get amazing results.

7. Eat more fruit and vegetables – Not only are these rich in fiber but they also help you avoid temptation of more calorific foods like candy, chocolate, and so on. Improve your health by eating 3-5 pieces of fruit and vegetable each single day.

8. Get an abs program – Why crawl toward your goal when someone can teach you how to walk and then run? Of course, abs programs do cost some money but the time and effort they save you is well worth the investment. A good program can show you how to get results even sooner than you would have otherwise.

9. Eat smaller meals all through the day – one of the top ways to increase metabolism and burn more calories is by thinning out your calories into more meals and snacks. 5-6 meals and snacks a day will help you avoid cravings, remain energetic, and feel good.

10. Just be as active as you can – Even if it’s merely walking when you normally drive, taking the stairs, playing with your kids, taking up an active hobby. Anything that gets you moving is a blessing and will help you lose s fat.

Why does the weight loss program discourage exercise?

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

I’m on this weight loss program and they say not to exercise too much since I’m only eating 1200 calories. why do they discourage much needed exercise? Isn’t it healthy?
I want to work out 5 times a week one hour a day on the elliptical and I know I will have better results…do you think this is a good Idea, I’m also a bit used to it
Yeah…I thinking money…..

they say a body needs 900 calories (minimum) to function properly. if you are burning more than 300 calories in exercise, there’s your reason…

i would suggest you increase your caloric intake by how much you plan to burn off (on the treadmill/elliptical/whatever)

consult your trainer and tell them that you want to lose weight but you also want to be fit. compensate with food what you lose in the gym!

GOOD LUCK

Does exercise lead to equal weight loss every week (esp. initially) or is it uneven?

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

I started doing cadio + weights exercise daily 3 weeks back. I lost 3 lbs in first 2 weeks, but then my weight steadied after that. Is that normal? Do I expect more weight loss and when? I work out at a gym for >1.5 hrs every day and plan to keep doing like that. Any other tips for fast weight loss? thanks!

You have to change your work out up. It is best to do cardio..with 2-3 minute stints of ..well…say for example if you are jogging….you jog for 7 or 8 minutes and then sprint for 2 minutes..and keep going like that..or if you are cycling..you get a rhythm going and then after the 7 or 8 minutes you cycle really hard…it confuses your body and helps to lose the weight more steadily. If your body becomes used to an excersize regime it will adapt and you will not lose the calories as much as you did when starting that same regime out. Sometimes your body just needs a little break..and so you will not lose as much weight (or any) for one week..and then it will go back to losing again. Do not expect anything regular from your body. Our bodies do not work like that.

How good of a weight loss exercise is swimming?

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

Can swimming help a person lose weight if they do it regularly? Or is running better?

I’ve read that when you swim in cool water, you don’t lose weight very well because your body reacts to the cool by holding onto fat.

You would certainly build muscle, which burns more calories, and you would be more fit.

Are there any trainers that are willing to give me free weight loss and exercise advice?

Friday, May 7th, 2010

I am trying to lose weight and tone up. I just don’t want to gain mass because I am doing weight training and cardio. I know that I need to do both but how many reps vs weight? Thats the kind of info I need.

Thanks!
Ok, does anyone else have any advice? Has anyone done this?

I can give you all that advice for free, but if you want me to translate it to English, it’s 100 an hour like any other decent trainer.

What is the best diet for weight loss and exercise?

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

Obviously, I’m trying to lose weight. What should I eat and what should I not eat while trying to reach my goal? What are the best diet methods and such?
Also, what is the best way for me to work out?

To lose weight you should avoid processed foods, fried foods, refined carbohydrates (white bread, white rice, etc.) & sugar sweetened beverages. Processed foods are high in sodium and low in nutritional quality. Instead choose a variety of fruits (avoid fruit juice), vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy, lean meats, fish or other seafood and healthy fats like olive and canola oil. Especially focus on the veggies! They are super low in calories and packed with fiber to help keep you full.

Eat small frequent meals throughout the day and don’t skip meals. Skipping meals can slow down your metabolism and deprive you of needed energy. Eat breakfast in the morning to wake up your metabolism after a long night’s sleep. Also don’t forget to drink plenty of water. Water is necessary to keep your body functioning properly. Staying hydrated helps with digestion, helps control appetite and flushes out toxins.

You may also want to keep a food journal. This will give you a good idea of how many calories you are taking in and can help you identify areas where you need to make changes. The most successful “diets” fit easily into your lifestyle and teach you ways to eat healthier that you can stick with for good. It’s best to make lifestyle changes that can become part of your normal routine. This way you’ll have the best chance at keeping off the weight in the long run.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
