I’m an 18 year old male weighing in at 188 lbs. I am 6′0, and most of my fat is in my upper body. I haven’t been able to find a pure diet or workout, so I am here begging for help. I am in my summer break, and I want to look good for college next year. I need to find a consistent diet plan and exercise plan. I am extremely self-conscious and have self image problems. If I feel fat, I won’t eat as much that day. For a time, I would only eat two fig newtons for a whole day and that would be it. Please just help me find a diet which will make me lose weight. Thank you.
This will sound weird but the reason you are not losing weight is because you are not eating
If you skip meals your body will go into stavation mode
once your body does this it will hang onto every cal you eat and slow your system down so you will not lose weight.
And if for some reason you do happen to lose some weight (some people do if their cal count is extreamly low) as soon as you start to eat again you will gain the weight back plus more
To speed up your system you need to eat every two hours while awake. But stop eating two hours before bed. Eat high fiber and the lower cal foods.
If you eat every two hours your body knows it is going to be fed again and will not hold on to every cal you take in.
if you are eating every two hours do not eat meals eat small things eat snacks if you are going to eat a meal you need to make the snacks smalller
try to eat
beans not the yellow or green
legumes
lintels
whole grains
lots of fiber
brown rice
wild rice
try to stay away from
white sugar
white flour
white rice
processed foods
these foods get into your system very fast
this raises your blood sugar levels
your body responds by raising your insulin
higher insulin levels makes you hungery
I know it is imposible to not eat these foods so if you do eat them eat high fiber with them this will change the food from one that gets into your system fast to one that gets into your system slower.
even if the fiber you chose is metamucil you need two tablespoons at a time for it to be effective.
as for the exercises
to lose weight the fastest all you need to do is walk
the more you walk the faster it will come off
when you walk your body loses more cal/min the longer you are at it
so if you walk for 2 hours your body will lose more cals/min the 2nd half hour then the first and so on.
you will also need to build up your muscles
if you lift weights you will bulk up your muscles
but if you do things that require you to lift but use a full range of motion you will be stronger.
Try to fit in more movement in your life
if you take the bus get off a few blocks ahead and walk
if you drive park farer away.
try to walk more places
Drinking green tea
with help burn fat and speed up your system
if you are the type of person who prefers cold drinks you can make a cold iced tea from it.

or you could take green tea supplements they are not as good as the real stuff but they will help
eat pineapple with meals have a slice of fresh or drink 3 oz with meals that has protien in them
pineapple has they ablity to break down protein you eat
